Job Description

  • The incumbent will leverage their existing proficiency and experience to lead the global technical training vertical for the firm. S/he will be responsible to lead the technical training vertical for all emerging training and certification requirements for the learning needs of today and tomorrow.
  • She/He needs to be comfortable working with business leaders across various businesses and COEs, to design and implement technical training practices & academies for a global IT workforce (across capabilities like Digital, Data & Analytics, Java, Cloud, Salesforce, Automation, QE, Pega, Metaverse, and domains like travel, insurance, banking, and financial services).
  • Being part of a COE; the incumbent will be required to work across cultures and collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders to design, develop and implement the learning strategy; align and drive the adoption of learning solutions for business impact.
  • She/he will be required to work with Business, leadership, delivery heads, and other internal/external service providers. This individual is highly collaborative to create a holistic technical training strategy that amplifies our vertically integrated business model across the services we offer. Stay current with learning trends to drive innovation and continued evolution in learning, elevating learning relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • The role is part of the People Function and reports to the Head of Capability Development. The Capability Development team is responsible for all learning and organization development initiatives for the firm globally.

  • Optimize existing systems, software, technology, and methods, focusing on continuous improvement and creating learning academies for scalable solutions.
  • Consult with the business to analyze, assess, prioritize, and implement highly effective, innovative, and engaging learning solutions.
  • Mentor and lead the training team.
  • Be data-driven in making decisions and drive learning analytics.
  • Advance the Company’s learning culture and drive our EVP.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s degree preferred with at least 12-15 years of relevant experience in training vertical with 4-5 years of experience in leading technical training function in IT / ITeS global firms.
  • 2-3 years of Project & Project Management experience; 4-5 years of experience of working on IT projects using web technology like Java/Microsoft etc
  • Familiarity and understanding of databases like Oracle/SQL Server, knowledge of managing Knowledge Transitions from one team to another, a basic understanding of Cloud technology and lab setup, a basic understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with design, development, and implementation of technical training strategy – understanding of IT technology landscape, innovative and scalable models of implementing training academies, certifications, training solutions, and related vendor management experience.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and reporting training metrics across the firm.
  • Proven facilitation and communications skills
  • Focused on results and meeting the learning & certification goals for the business.
  • Experience in working for a multi-state, multi-site, growth-orientated environment.
  • Can see the big picture and focus on details for execution excellence.
  • Is a creative thinker and brings pragmatic ideas and solutions.
  • Adapts to changing needs and ambiguity, well-networked to stay abreast with market-relevant training & certification practices.
  • Successful tracking and reporting of training compliance, certifications, and governance to the leadership team of technical learning & certification offerings.
  • To agree & evaluate criteria business (to measure effectiveness), training objectives, and training proposals for identified needs, across the business units including the identification of external courses as appropriate.
